Dumbocrat Debbie Stabenow and The Fairness Doctrine

I decided to e-mail DEMOCRAT Senator Debbie Stabenow on her support for the “fairness doctrine”.

Dear Senator Stabenow:

 

It is my understanding that you support the “Fairness Doctrine” in an effort to bring what you recently termed “accountability” and “transparency” to the airwaves. While I am adamantly opposed to such government intervention, I wanted to take this opportunity to inquire whether you believe it is fundamentally “fair” to criminally charge both prostitutes and the individuals who pay for their services? Tom Athans, co-founder of the liberal TalkUSA Radio network (AND YOUR HUSBAND SINCE 2003) reportedly admitted to police that he paid Alycia Martin (a prostitute) $150 for sex.

 

“The report said Troy officers saw Athans enter a room under surveillance and leave 15 minutes later. Detectives followed and stopped Athans’ Cadillac DeVille on Interstate 75 near Square Lake.

Athans told police he stopped at the hotel to see a female friend he met online at Craig’s List, according to the report. After calling her on his cell phone, he was given a room number and met a woman at the door, the report said.

Once inside he placed $150 on a countertop. The woman collected the money and performed a sex act on him, Athans told police in the report.

Officers entered the room and found sex toys, condoms, $431 in cash and a laptop computer, the report said. 

They arrested a woman, identified as Alycia Lorraine Martin, and charged her with prostitution. She was released on a $100 bond and told to appear in Troy District Court for a pretrial hearing April 22.”  SOURCE: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080403/METRO/804030355

 

Ms. Martin was arrested and initially charged with misdemeanor prostitution.  However, she was ultimately sentenced under the “Holmes Youthful Trainee Act“. Your husband was never arrested nor charged for his role. I would respectfully suggest you focus on bringing “accountability” and “transparency” to your own home and leave the air waves to the free-market system.
