House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is one of the most despised political figures in the country.
And, frankly, she doesn’t give a damn.
“No, I don’t care,” Pelosi told POLITICO last Thursday, laughing heartily as she walked beneath the Capitol dome and plunged into a crowd of tourists.
Last week’s Public Strategies Inc./POLITICO poll brought grim news for Pelosi, revealing that only a quarter of Americans trust the San Francisco Democrat — putting her in the basement with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio).
Mention of the “trust” question halted the click-clack of Pelosi’s heels against Rotunda marble, and she turned to face the reporter who posed the question.
“I don’t know about ‘trust’ — I think I’m trusted,” she said.
“I certainly want to be trusted. I’m not particularly concerned if I’m liked.”
But month after month of polling shows that the speaker is neither trusted nor liked by the general public — even as she emerges from one of the most productive legislative periods any speaker has ever enjoyed.

Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. That’s the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama.

Closing arguments are set to begin today in William Jefferson’s corruption trial. The former Louisiana dumbocrat Congressman was charged with 16 counts, including money laundering and racketeering. If convicted on all 16 counts, Jefferson faces up to 235 years in prison.

Today, President MAObama has a Presidential Approval Rating of (-11). This is the first time his approval ratings have reached negative double digits.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama
is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11.
The President is now seen as politically liberal by 76%. That’s up six points from a month ago, 11 points since he was elected, and the highest total to date. Forty-eight percent (48%) now see him as Very Liberal, up 20 points since he was elected.

4 Suspects detained in Mexico:
Mexico police did not say what evidence they had against the four, whom they identified as Jose Quintero Ruiz, 43, and his brother Jose Eugenio Quintero Ruiz, 49, and taxi drivers Jose Alfredo Camacho, 34 and Antonio Valladares, 57.
Three suspects were arrested Friday in connection with the fatal shooting of a Border Patrol agent while on duty in a remote area near Campo, according to broadcast reports.
Hours after federal authorities made their pledge to capture 30-year-old Robert Rosas Jr.’s killers, several news outlets reported that three suspects, two men and one woman, in his slaying had been arrested at a San Jose hospital. Border Patrol and FBI officials were not immediately available Friday night to confirm or deny those accounts.
“They came walking in there with their guns and they were all lined up they blocked all the cars in here there must’ve been like 15, 16 cop cars,” a witness told reporters.
Texas May Reject Nationalized ObamaCare
Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry has suggested his state would consider invoking protection under the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution by invoking states’ rights:
“I think you’ll hear states and governors standing up and saying ‘no’ to this type of encroachment on the states with their healthcare,” Perry said. “So my hope is that we never have to have that stand-up. But I’m certainly willing and ready for the fight if this administration continues to try to force their very expansive government philosophy down our collective throats.”
“It really is a state issue, and if there was ever an argument for the 10th Amendment and for letting the states find a solution to their problems, this may be at the top of the class,” Perry said. “A government-run healthcare system is financially unstable. It’s not the solution.”

The number who Strongly Disapprove of the President has increased slightly following the prime time press conference on Wednesday night. That figure—39%–is now at the highest level yet recorded. As a result, the overall Approval Index has fallen to the lowest level yet recorded for this President.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve.

Black officer, Sgt. Leon Lashley fully supports how his fellow officer handled the situation:
Sgt. Leon Lashley says Gates was probably tired and surprised when Sgt. James Crowley demanded identification from him as officers investigated a report of a burglary. Lashley says Gates’ reaction to Crowley was “a little bit stranger than it should have been.”
Asked if Gates should have been arrested, Lashley said supported Crowley “100 percent.”

Sgt. James Crowley won’t apologize.
Officer is a lauded profiling expert.
Fellow officers, black and white, say Crowley is well-liked and respected on the force. Crowley was a campus police officer at Brandeis University in July 1993 when he administered CPR trying to save the life of former Boston Celtics player Reggie Lewis. Lewis, who was black, collapsed and died during an off-season workout.

Professor Gates Under Arrest
After reading the entire report, it seems the only individual who acted “stupidly” was HARVARD PROFESSOR HENRY LOUIS GATES, JR. The officer was responding to a call from a neighbor who reported spotting “two black males with backpacks” attempting to gain entry into the professor’s home. Apparently professor Gates was offended by the officer’s actions. Gates later admitted to the officer that his door was “unsecurable due to a previous break attempt at the residence.” Race pimps Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson should be landing in Massachusetts any minute now.
