Using either Tim Geithner or Charlie Rangel “math”, President Obama claims healthcare premiums would be reduced 3000%. Really? Notice when the President asks ‘How many people get insurance through their jobs’ (i.e. WHO ACTUALLY HAS A JOB), only a few people in the crowd actually raise their hand.

The MAObama White House decided to shut down its “snitch on your neighbor” web address: flag@whitehouse.gov.
E-mails to that address now bounce back with the message: “The email address you just sent a message to is no longer in service. We are now accepting your feedback about health insurance reform via: http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck.”
The “flag” service was introduced Aug. 4, with a White House blog post saying: “There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
At yesterday’s Town Hall meeting in New Hampshire, Obama claimed the government controlled “public option” would provide competition to private insurance companies to “keep them honest”. Is that like keeping the government honest with their failed social security ponzi scheme? What happened to the Al Gore social security lock box?
In response to the question of how can a private company compete against the government, the President stated UPS and FedEX “are doing just fine…it’s the post office that is always having problems.” I guess that is what happens when he freelances his response without the benefit of a teleprompter. As I posted on my twitter account this morning, the new slogan for ObamaCare is:
“Health care as efficient and accurate as your local post office.”
The United States Postal Service (“USPS”) recently released its 2009 third quarter results (April 1 – June 30) which revealed a $2.4 BILION net loss. The projections get much worse:
Despite cost reductions against the fiscal 2009 plan of more than $6 billion and actions to grow revenue, the Postal Service (USPS) projects a net loss of more than $7 billion at fiscal year-end…The Postal Service has incurred net losses in 11 of the last 12 fiscal quarters. The fiscal 2009 year-to-date net loss is $4.7 billion, compared to a loss in the same period last year of $1.1 billion, in spite of comprehensive, organization-wide cost reduction initiatives. The organization is working to mitigate a possible Sept. 30 cash shortfall of up to $700 million.
The USPS is tasked with one simple function, deliver mail. If the government lost money in 11 of the last 12 fiscal quarters merely delivering mail, does the President truly believe the same type of government bureaucracy can deliver a myriad of health care treatment options profitably?

In this morning’s USA Today, dumbocrat Shrieker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her lackey, Steny Hoyer claim:
Now — with Americans strongly supporting health insurance reform, with Congress reaching consensus on a plan, and with a president who ran and won on this specific promise of change — America is closer than ever to this century-deferred goal.
A recent Rasmussen Poll indicated 54% of Americans favor middle class tax cuts over new health care spending. A separate Rasmussen Poll released today revealed that only 32% of Americans favor a single-payer health care system. 52% believe a single-payer program would lead to lower quality health care. While it is subject to debate whether or not Americans strongly support health insurance “reform”, I would submit to Madam Shrieker and Stinky Hoyer that the majority of Americans who voiced opposition to your plan are opposed to health care destruction. H.R. 3200 clearly destroys their freedom to choose and select their health care providers.
These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades.
What “facts” does the Shrieker and Stinky rely on? H.R. 3200 begins:
To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans and reduce the growth in health care spending, and for other purposes.

On Friday [July 19, 2009], Democrats moved one step closer to giving free health insurance to the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal aliens when they successfully defeated a Republican-backed amendment, offered by Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., that would have prevented illegal aliens from receiving government-subsidized health care under the proposed plan backed by House Democrats and President Barack Obama. [emphasis added]
The House Ways and Means Committee nixed the Heller amendment by a 26-to-15 vote along straight party lines, and followed this action by passing the 1,018-page bill early Friday morning by a 23-to-18 margin, with three Democrats voting against the plan.
The Democratic plan will embrace Obama’s vision of bringing free government medical care to more than 45 million uninsured people in America – a significant portion of whom are illegal aliens.
Democrats and those who support this debacle under the guise of “reform” are out to destroy your freedom. That Madam Shrieker is un-American.
