Quran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and tell clearly that no other religion except Islam is accepted (Q. 3: 85). It relegates those who disbelieve in Quran to hell (Q. 5: 11), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (Q. 9: 28). It orders its followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion except Islam is left (Q. 2: 193).

Republican Chris Christie  defeated incumbent Jon Corzine in the New Jersey Governor’s race.

Republican Chris Christie has defeated Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine in New Jersey, according to unofficial election results. With 71 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday night, Christie had 50 percent of the vote to Corzine’s 44 percent.

Christie, a 47-year-old former federal prosecutor, became the first member of his party in a dozen years to win a statewide contest in heavily Democratic New Jersey.

The Republican victory deals a blow to President Barack Obama as he readies for next year’s midterm elections. Obama campaigned heavily for Corzine. SOURCE

Republican Bob McDonnell easily defeated Creigh Deeds in the Governor’s race.

Exit polls showed that nearly a third of voters in Virginia during the day described themselves as independents and they preferred the Republican to the Democrat by almost a 2-1 margin. SOURCE

Residents said gunmen had been rounding up any woman seen with a firm bust and then had them publicly whipped by masked men. The women were then told to remove their bras and shake their breasts.

“Al shabaab forced us to wear their type of veil and now they order us to shake our breasts,” a resident, Halima, told Reuters, adding that her daughters had been whipped Thursday.

“They first banned the former veil and introduced a hard fabric which stands stiffly on women’s chests. They are now saying that breasts should be firm naturally, or just flat.”

The religion of peace, is not so peaceful to women.

Yesterday, Dear Leader asked Congress to approve $250 payments to more than 50 million senior citizens. This request was an attempt to make up for the fact that next year, there will be no cost of living (“COLA”) increase. The White House estimated that the cost of these stimulus-type payments at $13 billion dollars.

The Social Security Act provides that Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits increase automatically each year if there is an increase in the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) from the third quarter of the last year to the third quarter of the current year.  This year there was no increase in the CPI-W from the third quarter of 2008 to the third quarter of 2009.  In addition, because there was no increase in the CPI-W this year, under the law the starting point for determinations regarding a possible 2011 COLA will remain the third quarter of 2008.  SOURCE

This would mark the first time since 1975 that there would not be an increase in social security payments to America’s seniors.  How will Dear Leader pay for his new proposal?

Obama said he would not allow the payments to come out of the Social Security trust funds, further eroding the finances of the retirement program. Social Security already is projected to pay out more in benefits than it collects in taxes in each of the next two years.

However, Obama did not offer any alternatives to finance the payments. A senior administration official said Obama was open to borrowing the money, increasing the federal budget deficit. The official, who requested anonymity, was not authorized to speak on the record.

You cannot merely toss money created by the U.S.  Government printing press at a problem and expect a rational solution. Imagine for a moment what would happen to a for-profit business if expenses were two (2) times greater than income for two consecutive years.  Bankruptcy anyone? What exactly would Grandma or Grandpa be able to buy with their $250 government handout? If there is no COLA next year, that $250 check from Dear Leader equates to providing seniors an additional $20.83 per month. Yes he can fail.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its Employment Situation Summary for September 2009.

"THE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION -- SEPTEMBER 2009

Nonfarm payroll employment continued to decline in September (-263,000), and
the unemployment rate (9.8 percent) continued to trend up, the U.S. Bureau of
Labor Statistics reported today. The largest job losses were in construction,
manufacturing, retail trade, and government.

Since the start of the recession in December 2007, the number of unemployed
persons has increased by 7.6 million to 15.1 million, and the unemployment
rate has doubled to 9.8 percent."

Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, a 19 year old Jordanian, is set to be arraigned this morning in Dallas, Texas after being accused of plotting to blow up a downtown Dallas skyscraper.

In conversations with agents posing as members of an al-Qaeda sleeper cell, Smadi said he came to the U.S. to wage jihad, or holy war. He told agents he wanted to target military recruitment centers, but eventually settled on financial institutions.

“I want to destroy … targets … everything that helps America on its war on Arabs will be targeted,” he told undercover agents in May.

The U.S. Department of Labor reported:

27 states saw their unemployment rates increase in August, and 14 states and Washington D.C. reported unemployment rates of 10 percent or above.

Forty-two states lost jobs last month, up from 29 in July, with the biggest payroll cuts coming in Texas, Michigan, Georgia and Ohio

Michigan has the highest jobless rate of 15.2 percent, followed by Nevada at 13.2 percent, Rhode Island at 12.8 percent, and California and Oregon at 12.2 percent each.

The jobless rates in California, Nevada and Rhode Island were the highest on records dating to 1976.

Nationwide, the unemployment rate rose to 9.7 percent in August from 9.4 percent in July.

The 2008 Presidential Election results reveal B. Hussein Obama defeated John McCain in Michigan 57.33% to 40.89%; in Nevada 55.15% to 42.65%; Rhode Island 62.86% to 35.06%; California 60.94% to 36.91%; and Oregon 56.75% to 40.40%. It is clearly apparent that Hussein Obama’s “Hope and Change” mantra is not working out so well for the blue states who voted for the Failure in Chief.

LT. KEVIN PFEIFER, ENGINE 33

Remembering the Victims of 9/11:  Project 2996

On Friday, eight years will have passed since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center I and  II, the Pentagon, Shanksville, American Airlines Flights 11 and 77 and United Airlines Flights 93 and 175. On 9/11, we did not define ourselves as liberals or conservatives, democrats or republicans, but merely as Americans. Americans united as a nation and Americans who recognized the heroic acts of the brave emergency services personnel like Lt. Kevin Pfeifer of Engine 33.

On that fateful day, Kevin had been a Lieutenant with Engine 33 for almost 2 years. Before becoming a firefighter, Kevin worked as a paramedic for 9 years. When I volunteered for Project 2996, I wavered between the idea of making contact with Kevin’s family for some background information or simply writing a memorial tribute based on the information I was able to obtain from the internet. I was reluctant to make contact with his family because I did not want to open any emotional wounds that even with the passage of time, never fully heal.  As I pondered my dilemma, I recognized that when Kevin and his brethren received an alarm call they simply responded, without question, and performed their duties admirably under very dangerous circumstances.

An English proverb defines “hero” as a man who is afraid to run away. One must not fail to recognize that while most people exit a burning structure as a matter of self-preservation, Kevin entered those same buildings to preserve and protect the safety of complete strangers. A short time after the first plane hit the North Tower, Kevin reported to his brother Joe in the Command Post.  Joe recalled:

We spoke only a few words then gave each other a look as to worry if the other was going to be OK. But people needed to be evacuated and there were many people trapped. So my brother started walking up the stairs attempting to rescue those in need. Thousands of people escaped because of firefighters like my brother. After the collapse of the South Tower, in the darkness of the collapse, I called for the firefighters to evacuate the North Tower. On their way down, around the tenth floor, Kevin saw that the stairs some of the firefighters were coming down would lead them into the falling debris. One of those fire companies was Engine 7. My brother told them to switch to a different stairs. About 30 seconds after Engine 7 escaped, the second building collapsed.

Even with limited visibility after the collapse of the South Tower, Kevin operated as a beacon of light which guided Engine 7 to safety. On Friday, I would ask that you remember Kevin and his family in your thoughts and prayers and never, ever forget the ultimate sacrifice he made on this day.
